A small bakery for everyday bread.

Oak & Oven bakes sourdough, seasonal pastries, and simple cakes from a storefront on Hawthorne Boulevard. We use flour from regional mills, butter, eggs, and fruit we can name.

About the bakery

We opened in 2019 as a two-person morning bake. The shop is still small: a counter, a few tables, and ovens that run before sunrise. Most of what we sell is mixed, shaped, and baked here the same day.

We are a retail bakery. We sell food for pickup in the shop. We do not offer medical advice, financial products, supplements, or online accounts of any kind.

Daily bake

Loaves and pastries are posted on the chalkboard each morning. When a tray is gone, it is gone.

Custom cakes

Layer cakes for birthdays and small gatherings. Please order at least 72 hours ahead by phone or email.

Coffee

Drip coffee and a short espresso menu. Milk alternatives available. No drive-through.

What we usually bake

The exact list changes with the season. These are regular items, not a promise that every tray is available every hour.

Country sourdough

Wheat and whole-grain loaf. Available as a whole loaf or half loaf after 9:30 a.m.

Morning buns

Laminated dough, cinnamon sugar, orange zest. Baked in two rounds on weekends.

Olive oil cake

By the slice or whole cake. Citrus in winter, stone fruit in summer.

Focaccia

Rosemary and sea salt, by the square after lunch on Friday and Saturday.

Street parking on Hawthorne. The shop is on the ground floor with a step-free entrance from the sidewalk. We do not take table reservations.
